As I said I ride brakeless but I don’t think that starting to ride a fixie without knowing how to skid therefore being able to stop the bike is a smart idea. When one feels confident enough, one can lose the brake. Otherwise some poor kid might end up being hit by a car during his very first ride.
Brakes are for fakes, don't teach these kids otherwise.. Put your big boy pants on and ride brakeless if you're going to ride a track bike kids! Do it right.
